BRIEF

Micro live unit for visiting artists within the adaptive reuse of a community-run building—short-stay living, focused work, and small-scale display with reversible, low-impact fit-out.

CONCEPT

A residency-oriented cultural hub that preserves Exarcheia’s alternative, experimental character while adapting to contemporary needs. Within this framework, Studio C acts as a bridge between private retreat and the centre’s public programme—enabling temporary artist exchange and production—through systems that respect the urban fabric and sustain the neighbourhood’s multicultural identity.

AESTHETIC NOTE

A mural of Frida Kahlo, known for her revolutionary spirit, serves as a focal point, embodying the spirit of creativity and individuality. The carefully selected color palette employs color-blocking techniques to introduce energy and break monotony, while garden-toned accents maintain a calm, studio-grade atmosphere—an intentionally experimental nod to the site’s underground ethos.
